Laboratory of the Fizzles, The Drama League 2015

This Laboratory setting was used to explore the text and imagery from Fizzles/Foirades, in service of our development of Hand Foot Fizzle Face, which premiered at JACK in June 2015. The Lab, conducted through our residency at The Drama League and made in collaboration with media artist Allen Riley, allowed us to adopt a pseudo-scientific voice to test out material on willing members of the Piehole community. Under the supervision of a disembodied computer voice, we conducted a suite of experiments involving Beckett's 'Fizzles' text fragments alongside a range of stimuli, reactive response prompts, and followed by a sweet, savory and alcoholic refreshment selection.
